Janelle Camilleri is a multidisciplinary designer and art department all-rounder, fuelled by the desire to create engaging storytelling.

Forever inspired by the craft of film, Janelle established her design and filmmaking skills at Griffith Film School, earning her Bachelor Degree in Multimedia, majoring in Film and Television Production (2010). After years working in the digital marketing sphere, she refocused her career to pursue production design for screen and stage; further expanding her skills with a Diploma of Interior Design at Billy Blue College of Design (2018) and a Graduate Certificate in Screen Production at Griffith Film School (2022).

Currently based on the Gold Coast, QLD, Janelle continues to refine her production design skills, working across the art department for film and television, specialising in set design, set dressing, and graphic design. Her most recent work includes as Production Designer for the upcoming independent short film BED FRAME, as Art Department Assistant for the ABC and Screen Australia’s Kaleidoscope Project’s short film VIV’S SILLY MANGO (2022), as Graphic/Set Design Assistant on Netflix and Hoodlum Entertainment’s feature film A PERFECT PAIRING (2022), and as Art Department Intern/Graphics Assistant on The Jim Henson Company, Story Bridge Films and Stan’s feature film
THE PORTABLE DOOR (2023).

As a world-building enthusiast and visual storyteller at heart, she endeavours to take a holistic, sustainable, and curious approach towards crafting designs that enhance a narrative.
